When decoration can reflect your thoughts and feelings, surprise the one you treasure or indulge yourself with a truly unique gift.
In this spirit, I re-think and revisit our usual objects from the old days. I have chosen to create decoration objects using forsaken materials, and when adding some immagination, some luck, some know-how, if I succeed in getting the right finishing to this set of authentic materials, it eventualy becomes a unique piece of decoration.
My keys and hearts are made of simple and authentic materials:
Pieces of old wood: I take parts out of used wooden crates of which the wood has aged and has known the pain of workers that loaded, carried, unloaded and stacked them.
By the end, this old wood doesn't bring anything more than the plywood of the supermarket, or other modern cheap material from overseas, but ... nostalgia, authenticity, etc !
Rusted keys, of course !!: Any used keys would make it!
But this is not what I want. It would be a pity to forsake these keys that, for years, had chafed the pocket of their owner and polished the lock bolt until it wouldn't slide anymore. Then, when they became useless scrap, they stagnated at the botton of a box, exchanging some oxygen against some welcome rust.
And this is that way that I love these keys to offer them a new life.

Sometime a zinc plate with a blue-grey oxydation would accompagny the wood piece.
A small cord or a piece of rafia: A natural material in the same spirit than old wood and rusty keys
A message: And then, my personal touch comes with a dedicated message.
A message that looks like the one you treasure or yourself and that makes the whole thing truly unique.
When I know the lucky one, I can write the message by myself., otherwise I listen those who talk the best about him, and afterwards, I can invent the message for you.
